Vanishing Twin

In 1997, I had a seven-centimeter tumor removed from my left ovary. It contained bone, hair and teeth. Today they consider this strange tumor a vanishing twin. “A vanishing twin, also known as fetal resorption, is a fetus in a multi-gestation pregnancy which dies in utero and is then partially or completely reabsorbed by the twin.”
